Terms & Conditions for PureKing Badminton Academy

  Welcome to pureking.org, the official website of PureKing Badminton Academy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting badminton through education, youth development, and community engagement in California. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, participation in our programs (e.g., youth workshops, summer camps, community tournaments), and interactions with our services, including donations and volunteering. By accessing pureking.org or engaging with our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

If you are a parent or guardian registering a child under 18, you agree to these Terms on their behalf. 2. Nonprofit Mission and Scope

PureKing Badminton Academy operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit under IRS guidelines, fostering amateur sports competition through educational programs without providing facilities or equipment [Web:17]. Our services include:

  • Free youth badminton workshops for ages 6-18.
  • School partnerships to integrate badminton into physical education.

All content and services on pureking.org are provided for informational and charitable purposes to advance our mission. We do not engage in commercial activities or profit-driven services, distinguishing us from PureKing Sports.

3. Use of the Website

a. Permitted Use

4. Program Participation

a. Eligibility

Our programs (workshops, camps, tournaments) are open to eligible participants, typically ages 6-18 for youth programs, with some events open to all ages. Specific requirements (e.g., age, skill level) are listed on program pages.

b. Registration

  • Registration requires accurate information (e.g., name, age, parent contact for youth).

c. Conduct

Participants and parents agree to:

  • Follow program rules and coach instructions.

d. Liability

Participation in physical activities like badminton carries inherent risks (e.g., injury). By participating, you assume these risks and agree that PureKing Badminton Academy, its staff, and volunteers are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses, except in cases of gross negligence. Parents/guardians must sign a liability waiver for youth participants.

e. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Free programs have no fees or refunds.
  • Paid programs (e.g., summer camps) have refund policies listed at registration (e.g., full refund if canceled 14 days prior, no refund within 7 days).
  • We reserve the right to cancel or modify programs due to low enrollment, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, with notice and refunds where applicable.

5. Donations

a. Tax-Deductible Contributions

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations to PureKing Badminton Academy are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by U.S. law. We provide receipts for donations, but you are responsible for consulting a tax professional to determine deductibility.

b. Processing

Donations are processed securely via third-party platforms (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We do not store payment information beyond what is required for IRS compliance.

c. Donor Recognition

With your consent, we may acknowledge your donation in annual reports, on pureking.org, or at events. You may choose to remain anonymous by indicating this preference during donation.

d. No Refunds

Donations are non-refundable, as they are immediately allocated to programs and operations, per IRS guidelines [Web:17].

6. Volunteering

a. Application

Volunteers must submit accurate information and may undergo background checks for roles involving youth, per safety policies.

b. Conduct

Volunteers agree to follow our code of conduct, respect participant privacy, and adhere to program guidelines.

c. Liability

Volunteers assume risks associated with activities (e.g., event setup) and agree the Academy is not liable for injuries or damages, except in cases of gross negligence.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Pureking.org and our services are provided “as is” without warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • The website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.
  • Information (e.g., program details, event dates) is always accurate or up-to-date, though we strive for accuracy.
