- Jog around court (1 min), side shuffles (1 min), skipping (1 min).
- “Follow the Leader” (2 min): Students mimic coach’s movements (e.g., lunges, hops).
- 0:05-0:15 Footwork Basics (10 min)
- Demonstrate side-step and chasse steps (3 min): Explain moving to front/back/sides.
- Practice side-steps (3 min): Students move side-to-side between cones.
- Chasse to front/back (4 min): Move to net and back to baseline.
- 0:15-0:35 Drills (20 min)
- Shadow badminton (10 min): Students mimic footwork without shuttle, moving to 4 court corners (5 min side-to-side, 5 min front-back).
- Cone drill (10 min): Students move to cones in random order, practicing chasse and side-steps.
- 0:35-0:55 Fun Game (20 min)
- “Court Tag” (10 min): Students use footwork to avoid being tagged within court boundaries.
- “Shuttle Relay” (10 min): Teams race to carry shuttle (no hitting) using footwork to cones and back.
- 0:55-1:00 Cool-Down & Recap (5 min)
- Hamstring stretch (30 sec), calf stretch (30 sec), group stretch circle (1 min).
- Discuss footwork importance (2 min): “Why do we move this way?”
